Local Ads, Plain English
Why your Facebook ads get clicks but no calls. It's usually not the budget.

You look at your ads and the clicks are there. People are clearly interested. But the phone isn't ringing, and the calendar isn't filling. So what happened between the click and the call?
Almost always, the ad did its job and something after it didn't.
The four usual culprits
- 01
The page doesn't match the ad.
The ad promised one thing, the page talks about something else. People feel lost and leave.
- 02
There's no clear next step.
If someone has to hunt for your number or a booking button, most won't. One page, one action.
- 03
Meta is chasing the wrong result.
If the account is told to get clicks, it finds people who click. Not people who call. Tell it to find callers and bookers instead.
- 04
Nobody follows up fast.
A form fill that waits a day for a reply is usually a lost customer. Speed wins locally.
Clicks are not the goal
A cheap click feels like a win. But a click only costs you money until it becomes a conversation. I'd rather pay more per click and get people who actually call.
This is why a funnel matters as much as the ad. The ad gets attention. The page and the follow up turn that attention into a customer.
What to fix first
Start with what Meta is being told to optimize for. If that's wrong, nothing else matters. Then look at the page people land on, from a phone, the way your customers will see it. Then time how long it takes someone to hear back.
Those three checks explain most of the clicks with no calls I see. They are also exactly what we look at on a free audit.
